It Has Been a Tough Few Weeks Around Here!
I Apologize For My Absence!
I Have Missed Spending Time Visiting My Blog Friends!
Mid-February, We Accepted A Contract For The Sale of Dad's House.
That's When the Work Began...
With A Closing/Possession Date of March 19th. . .
There Was Much To Be Done
and
Precious Little Time To Do It!
We Moved Dad To An Apartment, Help Him Select All New Furniture
(his was just to large for apartment living)
and Began Working Towards A Downsizing Sale.
All The While, We Were Systematically Working Through The Contract Stipulations, Inspections, and Other Details and Responsibilities Which Fall To The Seller
Or
As In This Scenario, The Seller's Daughter & Her Prince Charming.
Having Been Married for 63 years, Mom & Dad had Amassed PLENTY of STUFF!
We Had A Great Sale, Followed By The Final Clean Out of House, Garage & Storage Barn.
Brandi, the Darling Daughter, or As You May Know Her...
Did the Pro-Clean.
Next came HVAC Inspections, Carpet Cleaning, Ridge Vent Repair, Duct Work Cleaning, Termite Approval. . .
I Swear, The List was Never Ending!
Finally, it was March 16th, the Final Buyer Walk Through!
Signed, Sealed & Accepted!
Tomorrow, I will accompany Dad to the Closing.
This Project Will Be Complete!
With Any Luck At All I Will Return to My Sewing Machine & Computer, ASAP!
I Have Been Able to Complete One or Two Items in The Midst of All The Chaos ... Be Sure To Keep An Eye Out Over At Creative Carmella's For A Peek At One Of Them!
I Should Also Mention That I Found A Few Things I Just Couldn't Part With. . .
Once I Unearth Them, I Will Be Sharing Photos.
Did I Mention That Downsizing Dad Caused My Home To Become A Temporary Dumping Ground For Possessions To Special To Discard?
Stay Tuned. . . This is Bound To Be Full Of Laughter & Craziness!
For Now, I Gotta Bounce!
Hope You Will Visit Again - I'll Try To Keep The Blessings Bouncing!
Sounds like it has been completely crazy for you recently! Glad to hear things are about to get back to normal for ya! ; )
